This week Maggie has some new projects that she’s knitting for herself, while Karen is still working on the same things as last week. There’s a handy app to answer the age-old question, lots of Whovian news and goodies (and some extended discussion of movies based on TV shows), discussion of wasting time on the internet and the BIGGEST TIME SUCK EVER (and a moderate time suck that Maggie’s become addicted to), some music that everyone really needs to hear to believe and a PSA for anyone planning to see Breaking Dawn. We also discuss some gifty ideas, including a book at the top of Karen’s Christmas list.
As usual you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or join in the discussion on the Knit 1 Geek 2 Ravelry group as well as chatter with us on Twitter. And you can check out our merch in our Zazzle.com and Zazzle.ca stores!
Discussed on this episode:
Dr. Who actors reading bedtime stories on CBeebies. Ovaries. Exploded.
TVTropes. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
London Philharmonic’s Greatest Video Game Music. (You have to listen to their version of the Super Mario music! HELLO, MY CHILDHOOD. It also doesn’t hurt that parts of it remind me of the Wallace & Gromit theme.)
Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn causing seizures in some moviegoers. Nothing about whether it causes violent nausea in others.
Socktopus: 17 Pairs of Socks Worth Showing Off by Alice Yu
