A friend told me you were looking for things people were making for the premiere, so I thought I’d share the outfit I’ve made to wear.

It’s here: http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/262227_10150263394914587_788804586_7569663_4240513_n.jpg

Crocheted sleeves on a thrift-store jumper, and an apron stitched with a custom-length pocket for Molly’s wand and wooden spoon. :)

That’s an awesome Molly costume! And extra credit to your house for creatively using thrift-store finds. ;)

I was just thinking about this kind of costume today! Well done. Is that an honor roll sign on the side of it? Was this beauty in a contest?

A quick comment on stranded vs. intarsia colorwork. Intarsia is not just for knitting pictures. One could use stranded to knit pictures as well. Intarsia is actually the method of separate color sections where you twist the new yarn color with the old, then drop the old color to exchange it for another color. If you knit it flat, on your way back, you twist the two again and drop/pick up the color. You wrap/twist the colors so you don’t create holes at the color changes. In stranded knitting, you carry both colors at the same time creating floats..

Whoa, thanks for all the comments and congratulations, guys! I don’t think we expected anyone to actually listen to us or comment for weeks. :D

And @Deb, thanks for the clarification! I forgot to write that down to mention in Episode 2 due to Potter-related fatigue, but I’ll be sure to do so for the next episode. :D

First of all, love the podcast! You came highly recommended from Miss V.

I made myself a dark mark bag to wear to the premier:

Will you be making a ravelry group for your podcast?

Look forward to hearing more!

That bag looks awesome, Jess!

We haven’t got a Ravelry group yet, but I’m working on it now. Here we were thinking we’d have a couple weeks to get things together before anyone we didn’t actually know listened to the podcast. ;)

You girls are great! I so enjoyed this and plan on being long time listeners! I love the energy and chemistry you have.

I too adore all things Gaiman, so excited for the show. I’ve never read the Dresden Files but now you have me curious! Well give them a go around after I finish reading A Song of Ice and Fire. :)

I’m definitely interested in joining a Rav group if you get one set up.

A Rav group is on the TO DO list, for sure.
I promise you will not be disappointed with Dresden. I’m reading the latest book now and squeeing every few minutes at the mayhem ensuing and wondering how much worse could it get for Harry…. oh wait it just got worse again!
Fabulous writing. :-)
