This week, we have a newbie! Lauren joins us at K1G2 World Headquarters and gets a first-person view of the crazy that goes on when we record. We also have a couple finished projects and a report on our trip to the Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters’ Fair! Newbie is still recovering from the yarn overload.
In Geek Squee, there’s more news about the upcoming SHIELD tv show (WAAAAANT) as well as some news that hopefully means more people will get to see Joss’ Much Ado About Nothing. There’s also some late-breaking Dragon-Con news, there was a wedding that reenacted a certain same-sex superhero wedding, and Maggie got a little gift from someone who was able to go; some awesomely nerdy librarian tattoos (no, Karen is definitely not getting one of these); a trailer for a movie that looks like it will be an endless source of lols; an instant way to win Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, as long as no one can see your computer screen and some possible hints about how the Hobbit movies might be split up (no spoilers, we just tell you how to find it).
There’s a lot of Cravings, Covets and Crushes this week, including some truly heroic soap, some lickable planets (and dwarf planet, sorry Pluto), some geeky yarns from one of our listeners, a super cool piece of timekeeping jewelry, and possibly the best game of Clue EVER.
And of course we have a little prize to draw for this week… 
The Hobbit: A Long Expected Knitalong has begun! There’s no required pattern or yarn, just the goal of completing a project of your choice before The Hobbit opens in theatres on December 14th. Feel free to post progress and pictures here on the blog, or chat about your projects in the thread over on the Ravelry group!
